Developing communication skills

Our curriculum

Our curriculum has been specifically designed to help children and young people develop their communication skills, work together with the peers and explore their creativity. Through fun ad lib and improv exercises, as well as script work and teambuilding, students use drama to develop skills to support their futures.

We follow an academic term structure but welcome new students to join us anytime. In summer term, we celebrate the year with a summer production for friends and family to come and watch. We have our very own Drama Kids plays that are adaptable for our teachers to ensure everyone gets to take part at a level that feels comfortable for them.

New friends and our friendly teachers

Class structure

We keep the class structure the same through our set lesson plans so students know what to expect and yet, no class is the same. This means that Drama Kids’ classes will always feel fresh and familiar to students as they navigate fun drama activities with new friends and our friendly teachers.

The curriculum is designed so that a child can join the Academy at five years of age and stay until they are 18 without ever repeating a lesson.
